Hsinchu County boasts an abundance of natural attractions and picturesque scenic charms. Hakka ethnic people dominate the county alongside Fukienese and aboriginal tribal people. In the past decades, Hsinchu County has been eveloped into a high-technology hub and has, in turn, become the home of numerous immigrants, a harmonious smelting furnace of multifaceted ethnic rces, conveying diverse cultures.

The development of Hsinchu Science-based Industrial Park and the Hsinchu Industrial Zone has functioned as a tremendous catalyst to boost the industries and commerce of the entire county. The Hsinchu County Government has tried by all means to serve the industrialists and entrepreneurs with "faithful concern, support and services" in an effort to boost economic growth hand-in-hand with them. Meanwhile, the Hsinchu County Government has spared no efforts in launching a great variety of hardware and software construction, including notably Hsinchu Biological Medical Park, Special Hsinchu Station for High-Speed-Rail, the Puyu Plan of Phase III in Science-based Industrial Park, Underpass of the High-Speed-Rail, the Coliseum, Biological Educational Park. Through such efforts, it is hoped that taking advantage of the Hsinchu Science-based City to ignite a brand new hope project. Meanwhile, Hsinchu County never overlooks social welfare, with wholehearted concern about the elderly, women, children as well as other underprivileged segments. Hsinchu County Government puts forth significant efforts to develop tourism and recreation oriented industry to upgrade education and life oriented culture, reinforce security to the county people and safeguard ecological environmental protection. It is our earnest hope that we will develop Hsinchu into striking indigenous characteristics and forge a county of culture, ecology, intelligence and irresistible attraction.

Taking advantage of the optimal geographical location and high-level human resources, Hsinchu County is highly competitive in all aspects. In the days and years ahead, the Hsinchu County Government is to double efforts to continually serve the county's citizens through "integrity, efficiency and maximum possible conveniences". Through close teamwork by all people, both in and out of the Hsinchu County Government, Hsinchu County will be built into a paradisal land for blessed citizens.
